Let's start at the beginning, my train ride was quite possibly one of the worst train rides I've ever experienced, well, the first two hours of it at least. In Germany, no one really helps you on the train, they just watch you struggle with all your baggage, until you ask for some help, then they jump up and help you as if it were their idea to help in the first place. My car was full with two nice kids from Arizona, an Italian looking woman with her sweet little two year old daughter and an overly sour looking woman with the worst little boy in all of Germany. What a little brat he was, he couldn't sit still the whole two hours to Munich, he had a giant band aid on his nose which made him look impish, and worst of all, he was sitting across from me. He was making so much noise and we were all trying to sleep, then when the boy finally exhausted himself by being a shit and went to sleep she scowled at us if we made the slightest peep. I was really on the brink of saying some really inappropriate nasty things to both her and her shit of a son, but I held my tongue.
The rest of the ride to Vienna went just fine, when I arrived I fell in love, the architecture is stunning. Beautiful, ornate white stone buildings with iron railings and statues everywhere. I went out to get some groceries and all of a sudden, a thunder and lighting storm struck, I'm talking rivers down the street, no warning, and it was actually quite welcome because it was so stiflingly hot. The next day I went to pay for my workshops, and walked all around the city. I am going to explore a little more in the weeks to come, once Amber, Barb, Josh and Lisa join me, but from what I saw of the city centre... amazing and a little overwhelming in an asshole Viennese kind of way.
My workshop is just fantastic, these studios are huge, I mean huge.... I was supposed to be taking Forsythe Repertoire with Francesca Harper but there was a family emergency so another man is filling in, his name is Tamas Geza Moricz and he's fantastic, we've been improvising for two days now. I love it, and there are some beautiful
Oh, I have to take a photo of the world's dirtiest kitchen here at the Hostel and post them up, it's absolutely disgusting.
